TSCHORN Touch Finders

TSCHORN

TSCHORN

Product Features

TSCHORN touch finders sound a buzzer and illuminate a highly visible red LED lamp when the detector tip touches a workpiece. Detection is easily recognized even when working in a dark recess or on workpieces with a shape that makes it hard to see the LED light, thus providing improved work efficiency. The 12-volt battery has achieved higher sensitivity to contact with a workpiece compared with conventional products of the same class.

Two shank diameters are available (20 mm and 32 mm). The tip ball diameter is 10 mm. Protection against overrun is provided in the X and Y directions via the movement of the tip ball. (Overrun protection is not provided in the Z direction.)

TSCHORN Touch Finders for Gun Drill Machines

TSCHORN

TSCHORN

Product Features

TSCHORN has developed the world's first (based on the company's survey) positioning device touch finder for gun drill machines. The red LED lamp lights up when the detector tip touches a workpiece, which can reduce the positioning time to a tenth compared with the conventional method.

The shank and overhang shape optimized for use on gun drill machines make the touch finders suitable for many different types of gun drill machines. The red LED is easily recognized even in a small gap between the drill bush and workpiece. The 12-volt battery has achieved higher sensitivity to contact with a workpiece compared with existing products of the same class.

Two shank diameters (18 mm and 25 mm) are available. The tip ball diameter is 10 mm. Protection against overrun is provided in the X and Y directions via the movement of the tip ball. (Overrun protection is not provided in the Z direction.) Even if the body hits the workpiece, the LED lamp section is damaged first, preventing damage to the expensive mechanical parts. The touch finders can also be used on machining centers and milling machines.

SYIC touch sensors

SYIC

SYIC

Product Features

The SYIC touch sensors are available in two types: the ES series equipped with an LED lamp and a buzzer for signaling detection, and the OP series equipped only with an LED (The sensors are powered by two N size batteries).

The LED lamp, common to both series, enables easy recognition of detection even when working in dark recesses. The ES series sounds a buzzer to signal position detection even on workpieces with a shape that makes it hard to see the LED light.

Two shank diameters (20 mm and 32 mm) are available in both series. A spring mechanism that pulls up the tip terminal from the body is provided to prevent overruns and resulting damage to the equipment. (There is no relief in the Z direction.) Repeatability is within 5 μm. Supplied with a wooden case.

About SYIC

SYIC is a Taiwan-based manufacturer (established in 1979) that focuses on tooling products. The company currently supplies numerous tooling products to the United States as well as to countries in Asia and Europe.
